Your Claremont Jets took on the West Coast Wolverines Juniors and Swan City Titans Men at John Reid Oval for the semi-finals of the Gridiron West 2021/22 season.
Our Juniors kicked off the show on Friday night with intense Offence and Defensive work. The half-time score was 22-0. Because of the high score, QB for next year, Connor, took to the field to command the Offence in the final quarter. At full-time, the Juniors won the game 28-6. The Juniors are through to contest the West Bowl and are one step closer to bringing the trophy home!
Our Men’s team continued the finals fight Saturday night and took to the field on Saturday against the Titans. Our Men had a great game plan and stuck to it, shutting down the Titans gameplay in the first quarter. Despite a valiant effort by both the Offence and the Defence, the Jets could not hold off the Titans men. Our Men regained composure in the second half preventing the Titan men from scoring more than 2 TDs and scoring 1 TD ourselves, unfortunately still losing 14-58 against the reigning champions. Valiant effort by the Men in Green!
The West Bowl games will occur at Litis Stadium from 3pm on Saturday, with the Jets Juniors set to take on the Saints Juniors. We hope to see you all there supporting our Jets.
